About My Business

Mamaku Blue Berries grow high bush blueberries and green gooseberries since early 1980's, Anne and Harry Frosts', Phillip's parents, planted their first block of blueberries back then. The main picking season starts approximately in December and finishes in late March. Strawberries are trialed as an addition to berry options. Orchard is nested at the top of Mamaku Plateau, 600 meters above sea level, near Rotorua, where landscape was created by volcanic activity many years ago. Mamaku Blue Winery, retail outlet and building complex (function room, Cafe, private Museum), is stocking their frozen berries all year around and Mamaku Blue is supplying frozen berries to other supermarkets (mainly farro fresh). Phillip is regularly attending Farmers' Markets. Mamaku Blue is also a producer of many award winning products, including blueberry fruit wine, liqueurs, but their latest focus is to produce PURE 100% juices, together with other products, reducing the food waste as much as possible, but also to create high quality products, that taste delicious. Real fruit ice creams are served and shop/Cafe is open daily. Customers can enjoy scrumptious blueberry meals, gluten friendly options are available.
