About My Business

Kallos Beauty is a home based beauty studio, aiming to have somewhere for residents of Waimate to relax, take time out of everyday life and enjoy some pampering. As an experienced aesthetician of over 17 years, Shalamar offers a high level of beauty treatments ranging from therapeutic facials, massage, waxing, tinting, spray tanning and makeup. A focus of excellent brands to use within treatments has lead to introducing a Tween/Teen skincare range from Australia and hosting skincare/wellbeing workshops for the younger generation to learn the basics of skincare and self care. This has now also evolved to hosting Pamper Parties for children. "As a therapist my biggest job is taking care of people, helping them relax whether it is through talking or being silent, or it can be a confidence builder for someone with unwanted hair growth. I welcome men, women and gender diverse to my studio and aim to make my clients feel as comfortable and happy as possible.

I would love my business Kallos Beauty to receive a peoples choice award as I have put so much work in to this business over the years, and am reasonably happy with the level I have brought it to at the moment since reopening in August 2023. There is always room for improvement, but I feel what I can offer people currently is something that can help people in our community look good, feel good and improve their wellbeing. I have focused on creating somewhere as relaxing as possible, somewhere people can feel comfortable, welcomed and treated with kindness whether they are men, women, gender diverse or children (we offer kids pamper parties & also have them come along with their parents sometimes). I am forever working on improving what I can offer my clients, whether its a medicinal herbal tea full of organic goodness, a heated pad for while they lay on the treatment bed, or a loyalty programme so they can be rewarded for spending with us and given a thank you. Each and every client that passes through my doors or spends with us is an absolute blessing, and I love being able to provide something that helps people look and feel good about themselves. We also include Afterpay pay as you go as an option for budget conscious clients so people are still able to include self care in their budget, especially during these harder economic times. We offer excellent product ranges, our main skincare range Sabore is a high performance active skincare line based on organic and plant based ingredients that gives the same results as other high end high price products, without the same price tag. I am also proud of the Tween skin care range we are now able to offer to our younger clientele and are currently the only NZ stockist of this trail blazing range. I plan to offer more Tween and Teen workshops with this range to show them how to incorporate a basic skincare routine, protect and improve their skin hygiene and self care, including healthy food and lifestyle choices.
