Twig + Tale began in 2008 when founder Lisa suffered a devastating hand injury that left her unable to perform everyday tasks, turning hand therapy into her daily focus. Recovery was slow and painstaking, and the day she was finally able to thread a needle felt like a miracle, empowering her to create beautiful projects. In 2011, she began selling her carefully crafted items at local markets and on Etsy. Faced with increasing demand, Lisa transitioned to selling digital sewing patterns.

In 2017, a rebrand to Twig + Tale marked a new chapter with the launch of an e-commerce website, embracing the values of sustainability, inclusivity, and skill-building. Inspired by woodland storybooks, Twig + Tale celebrates childhood innocence and the wonder of nature, infusing life with magic and whimsy. The company now offers high-quality sewing tutorials and patterns for all skill levels, fostering a large, supportive Facebook community of 42.5k members.
